October 25, 2007, presented many challenges and solutions for improving perinatal
outcomes. This year’s conference drew 180 participants who were eager to
play a part in improving health care access in the Hudson Valley region. The keynote
speaker, Dr. Richard Carmona, the 17th U.S, Surgeon General, 2002 – 2006
provided an overview of national perspective on perinatal health.
