The One Test - Two Lives campaign from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) focuses on ensuring that all women are tested for HIV early in their pregnancy.

The National Perinatal HIV Consultation and Referral Service (Perinatal Hotline) provides free 24-hour clinical consultation and advice on treating HIV-infected pregnant women and their infants, as well as indications for and interpretations of rapid and standard HIV testing in pregnancy.


Pregnant and breastfeeding women can pass HIV onto her baby. All pregnant women should be tested for HIV/AIDS.

The Lower Hudson Valley Perinatal Network is working to increase awareness of Newborn Screening and Genetics within the region.
